The YWIEK professional teaching team fully grasps the educational philosophy, and understands children’s learning and development goals at different stages through numerous teaching activities, games and different implementation methods. The co-operative teaching mode of Chinese and Western teachers helps foster a quality bilingual learning environment where children can experience and understand multiple cultures through the use of English and Chinese in learning.

In Yew Wah, we encourage children to acquire these good learning dispositions in their daily activities. We respect their imagination and creativity, learning interests and help them to develop their initiative, concentration, persistence, problem-solving, imagination and creativity.
Good character is essential to people. In Yew Wah, we pay more attention to mingle the character education into their daily life. We hope children will acquire some fine character, such as respect, friendliness, genuineness, justice and faithfulness.
Economic globalisation enhances the communication and interaction between all the countries. We live in a multi&cultural word so the adult and children need to know about the cultural diversity and plurality and learn how to respect, understand and accept each other.
In Yew Wah, the children not only have more opportunities to learn English, but also to experience the multicultural atmosphere. In our kindergarten, the teachers will integrate their own culture into the teaching contents and the children can learn about it and also can see teachers from different countries working together. From the very beginning of childhood, the children already have lots of chances to appreciate and accept the fine culture in the world and at the same time, they grow with their own Chinese fine culture. A multicultural perspective is the precondition of sustainable human development under the globalisation background.
